XT Square, The New Icon of Jogja

XT Square is a new tourist center in jogjakarta. This place is an area that was built with an integrated concept offered to the public in a package of shopping centers, ie, what to see, what to eat, and what to buy. Designed as a public space with the concept of Citywalk, supported by area culinary and performing arts area to support tourism activities more convenient and enjoyable shopping, XT-Square was built for visitor satisfaction. Square XT name stands for “eX Terminal”. This place is located in the former land Umbulharjo Terminal in the city of Jogjakarta, a strategic node in the southern city of Jogjakarta, which connects areas and tourist destinations.

Construction is scheduled for completion in May 2011. These assets will be managed by specialized public enterprises. Draft has been completed the establishment of enterprises covered by the Yogyakarta City Legislature and is in the process of evaluation at the level of DIY. XT Square consists of three main zones, namely zone crafts (1 & 2), the archipelago zone and culinary zones. XT Square accommodate local craft products at craft and craft archipelago zone in the archipelago zone.

CRAFT ZONE
***is a vehicle for the representation of art crafts from Yogyakarta and surrounding areas. Craft Zone include 264 kiosks are embodied in a building that is uniquely designed as the region faces XT-Square. The building consists of two units ie units Craft – 1 which contain 200 stalls, and units that accommodate 64 -2 Craft stalls.

NUSANTARA ZONE
*** is a vehicle for the representation of art crafts from all over the archipelago. This zone consists of 20 fruit stall shop with premium amenities. These handmade products from local government-assisted local governments that have superior quality and unique appeal. In this zone also features an atrium area with a spacious 16 x 25 m apart as an exhibition space/expo as well as a craft-making demonstrations. XT Square visitors from all walks of life are expected to get the craft archipelago with a comfortable. 

CULINARY ZONE
***is an area attraction XT-Square. This zone includes 13 food stalls and a large standard-sized, dining area that can accommodate up to 350 people as well as stage performances that provide a form of artistic expression for artists in Jogja and nationally. Culinary zone building is designed to become an icon region.
